15 billion up in the wind

Money is a fickle thing, fickle like man, wherein money has value depending on what its used on or by whom, the poor can value what little they have while the rich will squander it like silly, yet one thing is certain, 15 billion pesos is many even for anyone no matter how rich.

PhilHealth Spokesperson Rey Baleña told CNN Philippines that all the alleged missing money was accounted for yet was unable to show the receipts so to speak.

With less than ₱2 billion liquidation reports still pending, Baleña added that all the funds were being liquidated by the recipients and not at all missing.

in an effort to divert attention away from the issue, Baleña said PhilHealth has participated in all investigations regarding allegations of corruption in their agency, adding cases have already been filed against some individuals.

PhilHealth board member Alejandro Cabading also pointed fingers at several officials for allegedly manipulating operations inside PhilHealth to block corruption probes. He aptly named Atty. Rodolfo del Rosario, now Senior Vice President of the Legal Sector; Corporate Secretary Jonathan Mangaoang; Dennis Mas, SVP for Management Services Sector; and Renato Limsiaco, SVP for the Fund Management Sector.

whistleblowers have come and gone with the same allegations, yet phil health officials raised walls against said allegations and deflected them like how a shield deflects a sword, makes one wonder if you can truly trust the health system in our nation, becoming more and more like their legal counterpart covering up their blunders with other issues, and blowing them out of proportion.
